Still in Patacancha

Hello parents,

Since there have been no postings, I want to give you an update on the group. They are up in Patacancha, which is one hour up a dirt road from our base in Ollantaybamo. Today is the last day of the service project so they are working very hard to finish, have an afternoon community celebration and then come down tonight to Ollantaytambo. There is no phone nor internet access in Patacancha, so they have not been able to access the internet and post to the blog.

They are uusing a laptop and Flip camera to write text and download images of there experience. They were going to try and send someone down to Ollantaytambo, where there is internet, in order to post this data to the blog. This apparently has not been possibe.

Kennedy Leavens, our instructor with the group, has a satellite phone and will call us if there is any problem. I will make sure there is a blog posting tonight when the group returns from Patacancha. Thanks for your patience and please know that your children are safe and in good hands,
